Have you wondered what the way to God is? Perhaps you grew up in a Christian environment, but never felt assured of your salvation. Or you never really heard of the need of salvation. In some Christian traditions, such as the Orthodox faith in which I grew up, the gospel of salvation and the need for redemption is not always explicitly preached. If this sounds relatable to you, consider what Jesus states emphatically in John 14:6 – “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but through Me”. Rest assured if you come to Jesus, you will be gifted with eternal life, enabling you to walk upon Christ as the Way to God.
You can come to Christ today by opening your heart in sincerity to Him in prayer. Take this step today – find a quiet place, calm your soul and speak this prayer below to Him with an open heart –
Lord Jesus, I come before You today in lowliness of heart, and with a repentant spirit. I kneel at Your throne of mercy seeking forgiveness of my sins. Forgive this sinner. Wash me in Your precious blood. Grant me a new heart and a new spirit. Clothe me with Your Spirit and fill me with Your eternal life. I thank you for this day. Grant me to walk in newness of life. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
Be assured, you are now a child of God, born of His Spirit and washed in His blood (John 1:12, 3:6). Consider getting baptized, as a testimony to all that you are now a child of God (Matt 28:19)
